The Gaming Giant Recruits Apex Legends Developer to Revitalize Challenged Action Game Ambitious Title

The renowned publisher has welcomed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to lead the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently crafting the upcoming over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.

Leadership Shift Comes After Lukewarm Feedback

Brinkman takes on the leadership position at the development studio following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's lackluster initial reveal last autumn.

Recently, 2K president a key figure informed staff about this strategic move through an internal memo, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had shown the necessity for a more defined direction.

The president stated that the developers is now overhauling Project Ethos with a refreshed vision, aiming to satisfy community desires.

A Pattern of Strategic Acquisitions

The news echoes a similar move taken by the publisher in August, when they recruited Rod Fergusson from Blizzard to assist with the BioShock development group.
